THERAPY AND YOU

The first step in caring for others is to care for ourselves.

In all my therapies I utilise an holistic approach, that is to say, one that incorporates every part of the person, it brings together your spiritual, physical, mental and emotional well-being.

An holistic approach seeks to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself on all these levels, and means that treatments are individually tailored to you.

So what is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is based on the idea that our emotional experiences are directly related to our thoughts, beliefs and actions.   Therefore by identifying and analysing our negative patterns of behaviours, seeking out the root causes of these and then putting into place strategies to stop us repeating these patterns of behaviours, we can change our emotional reactions into positive outcomes.

CBT techniques are skills based, drawn from proven evidence based treatments, enabling you to learn actual techniques and coping strategies when faced with those obstacles that have held you back in the past.

These are techniques that can be used in a variety of situations to combat toxic thought processes and can help manage conditions such as anxiety, stress and anger, as well as help with phobias and social engagement issues.

Using them in your daily life can bring out the very best in yourself.
